Soccer
The varsity girls soccer team defeated Lago Vista on Friday night at home with a final score of 2-1 to solidify their 5th place standing in district. Goals were scored by Ella Morrison and Natalie Juarez, but ALL of our girls played an exceptional game. Defense did a great job holding the line to get Lago offsides on multiple occasions. Our defense and midfield did an amazing job connecting passes to move the ball up the field so that we could get both goals and several other close-call shots on goal. We have three more games in district to protect our standings and to fight to potentially move into a playoff spot. Let's go, Lady Buffs!
Softball
Thank you so much to all the parents and athletes that came out to help get our field, batting cages and concession stand ready for our first time hosting a Round Robin Tournament! We APPRECIATE you! It was a beautiful weekend to host the tournament. Our player of the week is Laney Ellis. She hit her first bomb of the season! Our athlete helpers that were our stars are Makaya and Eliana Isles. We didn’t prevail on the field as hoped, but we know what we need to work on before we approach district. Don’t forget to come out and support your varsity this Tuesday against Rockdale at 5:00 p.m.
