Read-a-Thon
Has your child ever wanted to be principal for a day, go on a solo field trip with the principal or maybe on the other hand get a chance to slime the principal? All of this and more could be possible if they open a book and participate in the Read-a-Thon this year!

Book Fair
Join us in Room #1 for the return of the Hooker Oak Scholastic Book Fair!
Students will have an opportunity to walk through the Book Fair on Monday 2/27 with their class but must return after school to make any purchases. The Book Fair will be open everyday after school from February 27th through March 3rd, including Wednesday from 12-2pm!

Supporting Parent U at Hooker Oak
I’m writing to share with you an opportunity to support a program we’ve enjoyed having in school: Paradise U. In case you haven’t heard of it yet, Paradise U is a free physical activity program run by local Chico State students. In sessions, our students get to play games, learn new dances, and most importantly, find joy in movement. It’s a great way to get the wiggles out, get some laughter in, and bring a more focused version of our dear ones to the classroom.
On March 1st, Paradise U is participating in Chico State Giving Day to raise money for equipment so that they can continue this important program and expand to more elementary schools in Chico.

However, note that the page is open and accepting donations now, and every gift will help them to bring more smiles and giggles to students like our’s throughout the Chico area and beyond.

Sprouty Store Wishlist
The Sprouty Store was a huge success last year, and we need donations for the new school year! The Sprouty store is a monthly student store that is available for 1st-5th grade students. Throughout the school year students earn Sproutys, Hooker Oak's school money, and they can spend them at the store. The Sprouty Store is able to happen from parent donations. You can check out our Amazon wish list, which gets directly sent to Hooker Oak, or if you spot something you think students will enjoy you can drop it off at the office. We appreciate all donations to the Sprouty Store!
