THS Athletic Gala, wolves on the blue!

Wolves to Watch!
BASKETBALL
Varsity boys battled hard in two games that had more overtimes then our heart rates could handle. Such close hard fought games.
However, congratulations to the Boys and Girls Basketball teams for claiming the State Academic Championship! This award is won by having the highest cumulative, non-weighted GPA. Way to go you Wylie Wolves!!
Our hats off to Coach Jones, his staff and the varsity girl's basketball team for an incredible season and bringing home the State Championship - A close final game against rival Boise High with a huge crowd made for amazing basketball memories! And to add to the awesomeness, players Sophia Glancey and Audrey Taylor have been asked to join the 19th Annual All-Star game held at the College of Idaho on March 12th @ 1pm. Come enjoy more great basketball and support these two Wolves. Our school was also awarded the Sportsmanship award for the state tournament.
Not to be outdone, both the JV and Sophomore Girl's teams won their district championship games and the sophomores went undefeated. Looks like we have years more of good basketball coming our way!

Students worked on a project for the State Board of Education in groups of 2-3 students. In the project, students would analyze, synthesize, and research data in order to make recommendations to the State on how to improve the website's traffic, frequency of visit, and staying time on the website.
Incorporating the marketing lessons from their class, students were able to use their skills in a real world setting. Emilia Collins and Lily Pinson took 2nd overall and won $500 toward our very own DECA student organization!
SCIENCE FAIR
Congratulations to Timberline's Luke Bousfield and James Liu on their first-place finish at the Regeneron Regional Science and Engineering Fair. They have been awarded a fully paid trip to Atlanta to compete in the National Competition in May. For their research, they developed a novel search algorithm based on the Simple Genetic Algorithm to demonstrate the vulnerabilities in an encryption method assumed to be impenetrable. Their research is absolutely mind-blowing and challenges the research of giants in the field.
CHOIR & DRAMA
Huge shoutout to Sean Kane, Todd King and the cast and crew of "The Little Mermaid". The musical showcased amazing talent and entertained all ages. Students performed to sell out crowds and inspired future students. Well done our musical Wolves!

SPRING SPORTS
Baseball, Softball, Tennis, Track, and Golf are all underway. come out and cheer on your Wolves!!

Tennis court rebuild starting soon!
We are extremely lucky to be getting our tennis courts rebuilt this spring. Unfortunately, it will interrupt our season and athletes will be playing on other courts. Also during construction, the small part of our parking lot on the east side of the courts will be fenced off for heavy equipment traffic and storage. Students will need to park in the larger, main student lot.
Part of the school's walkway on the south side of the courts will also be fenced, so patrons will need to walk on the grass instead of the paved path. We are very sorry for the short-term inconveniences this may cause, but our new courts will be a wonderful improvement for our top-performing program
