From the Desk of Mr. Ruedinger

Just a reminder that we will have school tomorrow, Friday. May 24th due to a snow day make-up.

The CCA Spaghetti dinner held last Saturday night in the gym was a huge success. Money raised through sales and donations came to over $2300. Thank you to Nancy Roerdink and Erin Hutton for their planning and preparing of this event and to all the volunteers to came out to help.

The State of the School Celebration will be on Tuesday, May 28th. The evening begins with free pizza and water in the gym for all parents and students from 5:30-6:30 pm. The parent’s only meeting will be held in the church from 6:30-7:00 pm. Supervision will be provided for students in the gym and playground from 6:30-7:15 pm. We look forward to celebrating a wonderful school year and sharing future school initiatives.

We are looking for parents, 8th graders, or high school students who would be willing to help with supervision during the State of the School Celebration meeting. If you or your child are willing to volunteer, please contact the school office.

Quarter 4 report cards will be mailed out after the last day of school this year.

Please spread the word about CCA! There are incentives for each student a family recruits to our school. Please see our Student Referral Program below for detail.

Pick Up & Drop Off Safety

The safety of our students should be a huge priority each and every day. The morning drop off times is a busy time and we need ALL parents and grandparents to slow down and be patient as vehicles unload students. Drop off should only be done on the school side of the street.

During the after-school pick up, parents parking in the church parking lot should slow down and be patient as you drive through the parking lot. There have been several unsafe situations recently that can be prevented.

Home & School Notes

Thank you to everyone who helped make the Home & School Brat Fry a success! Whether you baked goodies, volunteered your time or came out to enjoy some delicious brats and burgers, your support is much appreciated! We raised $400 which will go towards field trip busing, the last day of school carnival, and towards the next school year Home & School expenses.

Our next meeting is on Saturday, June 1st at 9:00 a.m. in the staff lounge. We will be discussing the last day of school carnival. Hope to see you there!

Notes from the Resource Center

All library materials are due by Tuesday, June 4th! Thank you for a wonderful year! ~Mrs. Ebert

Safeguarding All God's Family

If parents or grandparents plan to participate in field trips, work in the lunchroom, coach, or help out at school, you must attend a Safeguarding All God’s Family training through the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. You must register on-line at and indicate you are associated with Christ Child Academy. If you have not previously been trained, now is a great time to attend a session.

Box Tops for Education

CCA can earn money from clipping Box Tops found on various products. When you buy items, simply clip the Box Top and bring it to CCA. The Box Tops are submitted, and our school receives a check which is used towards our activity fund. It’s another easy way for you to help the school by purchasing the products you already use! Enlist your family, friends and neighbors to collect the Box Tops, too.
