Albrecnt Durer
Durer was an amazing artist and printmaker. We even have some of his paintings in this museum. Some of his most famous things would be the Hands I, Adam and Eve (The Fall of Man) and The Wing of the Roller.
Adam and Eve (The Fall of Man)
Under the influence of Italian theory, Durer became very into the idea that the perfect human form corresponded to a system of proportion and measurements. He then had drawn this picture to show that.
Hand I
This print was inspired by the hands of Apostle which were going to go up in the Heller alter but was burnt down before it ever got there.
The Wing of the Roller
A watercolor done in 1512 by Durer.
Leonardo da Vinci
Leonardo da Vinci was most famous for his painting of the Mona Lisa. He is one of the most known painters in the world. He is also known for The Last Supper and the Baptism of Christ.
The Last Supper
The painting means to show the last supper the Jesus ate with his men and woman before he was crucified in Jerusalem.
The Baptist of Christ
The painting shows God’s stretched arms painted with golden rays and dove with its wings widely spread, a halo with cruciform is painted on top of Jesus head and another halo on top of St. John the Baptist.
Titian
Titain was known to have illustrated the Rape of Europa, Diana and Callisto, and The Worship of Venus.
Annibale Carracci
Known to paint the Flight to Egypt and Loves of the God. Carracci came from a family that was full of artwork. They sometimes even worked together to put things together.
