Internet Safety Month @ FCS!
Internet Safety Month for Franklin County Schools starts Monday, October 5th. Be sure to elevate & celebrate your teachers for engaging in this. I am attaching a Google Folder that has a Google Slide for your school. Click HERE or access through your Google Drive. Please work together (ITC/ITF with your Media Specialist) to post pictures from each week with the themes we have laid out. Feel free to post links to activities, videos made, etc. that you would like to share with your school. We will showcase all of our schools at the end of the month to the principals and our website. If you have any questions, please let me know. Kick off is Monday! Don't forget about the contest! Check it all out at fcsdigitalsafetymonth.weebly.com

BOB Time! & FREE NCTies!
Battle of the books have been ordered for and PAID! We hope to have them to you by the end of the week! Get your teams ready and prepared! Any Media Specialist in High School/Elementary that is willing to coordinate our Regional BOB will get a free registration to NCTies. We do not have funds for a stipend, but I secured other funds for PD. This is a great way to work on PDP and evaluation. Let me hear from you.
NCTies 2016 - Here's Another Chance to Go for FREE!
YOU are a leader in our district. YOU have a story to be told! Call for proposals for NCTies will be coming up soon. If your proposal is selected, you and one additional co-presenter will receive a free registration to NCTies. I will be sending out more information soon as it becomes available. Check out their website at: http://ncties.org/conference/event/overview/. Franklin County Schools needs to be showcased for all the great things we are doing! There is also a place where your students can showcase as well. Need help getting started? Let's get together and brainstorm! **If additional funds become available for PD, priority will be given first to those that have submitted a proposal for NCTies.
