Mercury by: Ava Schilling

about two billen years ago Mercury had a regler sized core an then a rouge asteroid hit the planet and sent a giant shouk wave throw the mantle and disropted the core and the planet suvived with a vary larnge core. Also on Mercurys dark side the temp can get dowen to 300 degres below o and on the liognht side the temp gets the 900 degres farenhight . And a inpact crater about one fourth the size of the planet was cosed by the asteroid. Mercury is the closest to the sun. Mercury is one of the sencond smallest planets of of the nine planets and is made up of rock and metal . It takes mercury 88 days to orbit around the earth. Mercury is moving around the sun in the same direction as it is slowly spinning , both day and nighttime on Mercury is bigger than the earths moon, has a core of iron. Mercury rotates very slowly so its days are very long. A day on mercury is 59 Earth days. It is about 36 million miles

Jupiter by: Caven

On Jupiter there is a graet red storm and in this storm wind speed gets up to 795 miles pure hour and this big red storm is notedisbol as a red dot the shape of a football the size of earth. And get this Jupiter is made out of only gas so it has no core and its gases are flamabl so if the planet gets to hot it will combust into flam and abliterat the soler sestem.

Saturn and Neptune by: Kaitlyn

Saturn is the second biggest planet in the solar system, it is the sixth planet closest to the sun,the outer layer of saturn is made mostly made out of hydrogen gas its middle layer hydrogen becomes a liquid and the center is made of rock, Saturns weather is stormy and the winds can travel more than a thousand miles than earths hurricans. Also astronamers say that a storm happens every thirty years. Neptune is the stormiest planet the wind can blow 1,240 miles per hour thats 3 times fast as earths hurricanes. Neptune is a sea blue color to the methane gas in its atmosphere. Neptune is the eighth farthest planet from the sun. It is about 2.8 billion miles away. Neptune is so far away an astronaut 12 years to travel. Did you know that when Pluto was a planet that Neptune was the farthest from the sun.

Mars by: Anna

Theirs evidence that their was volcanoes and water on Mars. The first spacecraft to go on Mars to search for life was Viking 1. On Mars, Mars has a darkside just like the moon. Nasa plans to send more machines to Mars in the future to find more information faster. Mars has 2 moons and it has 38% of earth's gravity. Mars also has 44% of earth's brightness. Mars has a huge polar ice cap. If melted, the water would cover the planet. Mars's moons were discovered in 1877, one of them is Deimos and the other one is Phobos. They know water streams used to be on Mars because they saw in a picture of a dry water stream. Mars is half the size of earth so it's really small to earth. They named Mars after the god of war because it reminded them of blood because of Mar's color. A martian day lasts a little over 24 hours (24 earth hours, 39 minutes and some seconds) is called a "sol". Mars is the 4th planet in the solar system. In 1976 Viking Orbiter 1 sent a series of pictures that showed a "face" on the planet's surface. Many saw this as an enormous sculpture built by intelligent life. It's actually a mountain.
