Meal kits, distributed for children ages 18 and younger, will include breakfast and lunch for 7 days. There is no requirement that the food be consumed on-site - it is for pick-up only.
New Meal Payment System
LCPS will replace MySchool Bucks with a new meal payment system, called Titan, for the 2022-23 school year. Similar to MySchoolBucks, this new meal payment system allows students to put money on account to purchase school meals or other food items in our school cafeterias.
If your student(s) is not returning for the 2022-23 school year, please allocate the remaining funds balance on their meal payment account. You can donate, transfer or request a refund for their remaining balance by contacting the School Nutrition Services office within the next 30 days at CAFE@LCPS.org
If you have a new student or your student is returning for the 2022-23 school year, no action is needed at this time. Any balance left on a student’s cafeteria account will transfer to the new system.
New Online Payment Portal
LCPS is very excited to announce the launch of SchoolCash Online, a new online payment system that allows parents to pay for school-related fees, including everything from field trips to yearbooks. SchoolCash Online will replace Online School Payments starting on July 5, 2022.
How does it work?
SchoolCash Online is the industry leader in the safe and secure management of school fees. Schools post their items and activities and assign the relevant fees to your student, so you can then make purchases online using your credit card. This allows you to keep track of the school fees that require your attention.
Required Vaccines for Rising 7th Graders
Per LCPS and the Code of Virginia, 7th grade students cannot begin school on August 25, 2022, without documentation of the required vaccines:
- One dose of Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis) given at age 7 or older.
- One dose of Meningococcal Vaccine (MenACWY, Menactra, or Menveo) given at age 10 or older.
- Other vaccines are recorded in our health office but are not required to attend school.
Please email all documentation of required vaccines to our school nurse at Joy.Jones@lcps.org. Please note that our school nurse does not return to the building until Tuesday, August 16th.
More vaccine information (English / Spanish).
Medication
LCPS requires a new provider/physician orders each school year for the medication or specialized care which your child receives at school. If your child will continue to need medication or specialized health care at school, you and your child’s licensed healthcare provider must complete and sign the proper form(s). Please note that parents may not amend the provider’s order for managing the child’s medical condition.
The required forms are available in the health office at your child’s school or online at www.lcps.org. Click on the “Families” tab and the forms will be found under Medication at School. The forms should be returned, along with the appropriate medication, in the original, pharmacy labelled container, the week before school starts to the Loudoun County Public School that your child will be attending. Please refer to the “Medication at School Guidelines” for further information regarding medication at school.
Parent Survey
The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) is asking for families who have a child with a disability and are provided special education services through an Individualized Education Program (IEP) to participate in the 2022 Indicator 8 Parent Involvement Survey. The online survey is now open and available for completion in English and Spanish at the following websites until December 16, 2022:- English Version: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WMW6HJ5
- Spanish Version: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/82HPLG3
