RVA Girl Talk
** Changing the World One Girl at a Time **
Welcome to RVA Girl Talk
Our desire is to inspire young teenagers to build self-esteem through positive programs, as well as encourage each girl to have a unique sense of individuality. The bonds and lessons that are learned through RVA Girl Talk meetings are something the girls will carry with them wherever they go in life, and because of this each girl will grow into a confident and independent young woman.
Summer 2015 Mini Camp - Pajamas and a Movie
Our first camp will be held on Monday, June 29, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Mechanicsville Library. During this camp, we will be showing the powerful documentary, "Girl Rising". Everyone is welcome to come in their pajamas with a pillow and blanket.
We will be serving food and drinks. If you wish to make a monetary donation of $2 to go towards the refreshments, it would be appreciated but not required for your child to attend.
This is a unique opportunity for any middle school/high school aged girl you know to join us and be a part of this inspiring showing.
We would love to have potential high school girls who are interested in mentoring during the 2015-16 school year to join us at this mini camp and movie showing. Our advisors and leaders will be available for questions after our camp for questions for those who wish to pursue our mentor roles further.
Feel free to pass along the information and/or email us at RVAGirlTalk@gmail.com for more information.
