GLOW GAZETTE
WEEK OF OCTOBER 10, 2022

Message from the Principal
Students & Parents,
We hope you enjoyed this beautiful fall weekend!
We want to remind families that this week we will be closing out 1st Quarter. As a result, Wednesday is scheduled as an Early Release Day for students. Students will be dismissed at 1 PM on Wednesday. While teachers have workdays on Thursday and Friday, Thursday and Friday will be Fall Break for students.
Also, thank you to all who have responded to our Beginning of Year Parent Survey! We've had a great response from parents, but we want to hear from more of you! As a result, the survey will remain open for one more week. You can access the survey using the link/QR code in the newsletter or by clicking HERE.
Wishing you all a great week ahead!

International Day of the Girl - Tuesday
GLOW Academy will mark the 10th anniversary of the International Day of the Girl on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, with guest speaker Karolyn Martin, Miss North Carolina, along with planned activities throughout the day. Students are asked to be dress in their formal GLOW uniform (Polo shirts) on Tuesday; no Spirit wear t-shirts please.
The United Nations declared the International Day of the Girl in 2011 to recognize girls’ rights and the unique challenges girls face worldwide. We hope honoring the International Day of the GIrl will help to inspire GLOW students to create a different future and bring people together in a shared mission to create transformational change.
