Safety Drills & Standardized Assessments

Wow...we had a great first week with our students! We are looking forward to an exciting 2021-2022 school year!

As the school year gets underway, the safety of your child is our top priority. During the next couple of weeks we will be conducting a variety of safety drills. We want our students to be prepared in case of an emergency. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Throughout the school year we utilize a number of different tools to gain information about student learning, which includes standardized assessments. We would like to provide you with some information with regards to the various assessments that will be administered this year. You can find more information here: FPMS Assessment Communication

We hope you had a wonderful long weekend filled with relaxation and fun. We look forward to seeing your child tomorrow!

Absence Notification Procedures

Please remember to use our attendance form for ANY attendance related notification including students leaving early, arriving late or full day absences.

Like last year, we will be asking parents/guardians to use THIS FORM to report student absences. The attendance form is also located as a button on the main school webpage and under the “Parents Information” section.

This form will require you to enter your child’s six-digit student ID number and birthdate before you can report your child absent. Student specific medical information collected by the form will remain confidential and only be shared within the health and nursing services team.

Important Lunch News

The following information is from our Food Service staff and we would like you to review it with your children.

All Students will be receiving "Free Lunch" this School Year! "Free Lunch" does not include Individual Milk (for Cold Lunch), Extra Entree or Snack Items.

Snack and Extra Entrees range in Price from .50 to $3.00.

Domino's Extra Slice is $2.50 per slice and Milk is $.45.

Most days we will offer the Extra Entree and post the price so students are aware.

Food Line Procedure

We are asking students to go through the following steps:

  • Sanitize their Hands before entering the food line
  • Select at Least One Fruit or Vegetable, they may select all of them if they choose.
  • Enter their Student Number before receiving their Entree/Extra Entree. They can manually enter it or scan their Student ID. (Beginning Tuesday September 28th "ANY" Student wishing to purchase an Extra Entree or Snack Item must Scan their Student ID.)

We are very aware that the students enjoy having a snack line and extra options like Salads, Muffin Meals and Uncrustables. At this time we are short staffed and are doing our best to try and make these options available as soon as possible.

In the meantime if you receive an email regarding your child's lunch account being low or negative please bring the account into the positive so they are able to purchase Ala Carte Items.

If you have any questions or concerns you can contact the kitchen by dialing 414-367-1566 or emailing Diane Kaczkowski at .

Thank you for understanding and we look forward to a great year!

Visitors & Volunteers in Schools

In regards to visitors or volunteers, any person entering any school building during the school day when children are present for school is required to wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status. Masks should be worn at all times when in the building, and the visitor/volunteer should limit direct contact with others and maintain social distance (6 feet or more) when able.

Visitors and volunteers who are outdoors during the school day where students are present are required to wear a mask unless they have been vaccinated. Visitors or volunteers in the building after school, in locations where students are not present, are not required to wear a mask.

Early Dismissals & Late Arrivals

If you come to pick up your student during the school day, we ask that you do not enter our building but instead pull up into the circle driveway outside of our main office. Your student will be watching for you and we will send them out to your car when they see that you have arrived. If you are waiting longer than a few minutes for your student, you may call our main office to check in (414-529-8250).

If you are dropping your student off late for any reason, you do not need to come into the school with your student. Please pull into our circle driveway outside of the main office where your student can enter and check in. We will give your student a pass to class and update their attendance at that time.

Please remember to use THIS FORM for ANY attendance related notification including students leaving early, arriving late or full day absences. Please do not send notes with your student to notify us of these changes.

Dropping something off for your student?

If you are dropping off a forgotten item for your student (lunch, Chromebook, etc.), please use our drop off cart located inside the main entrance near the office. To limit the amount of traffic in/out of our main office, we ask that you leave the item(s) on the cart and clearly label the item(s) with your student's first and last name. Post it notes and pens are provided on the cart.

In an effort to reduce the amount of interruptions to students and teachers in the classroom, most items will be delivered to students during their 3rd hour class unless the item is clearly needed right away (for example, the student's Chromebook). If an item is dropped off after 3rd hour, we will get the item to the student as soon as possible.

The District has joined “Speak Up Speak Out Wisconsin” for threat or incident reporting. This takes the place of our previous “StopIt” reporting form. Click on this link to view the new form. You will notice as you start typing the name of your school, the choices for schools narrows so you can select your school. By selecting your school, this report goes to the principal or local law enforcement when needed. The video linked below gives a good overview of how “Speak Up Speak Out Wisconsin” works and is good to review with your family.
