Pleasant Valley Elementary School
Home of the Panthers
Thank you for visiting our page, my name is Pam Dowrey and I am looking forward to serving as your child's principal at PVES. I'm excited to work alongside all of you and your children as we begin the 2021-2022 school year.
I began my administrative career in RCPS in 2005 when I became assistant principal of John Wayland Elementary School and worked there for seven years. I then became assistant principal at J. Frank Hillyard Middle School for one year before getting my own school, McGaheysville Elementary School where I spent eight years. Prior to becoming an administrator, I taught Grades 6-8 at Montevideo Middle School and J. Frank Hillyard Middle School. I live in Broadway with my husband, George. George and I have two children and three grandchildren (and one on the way). We enjoy spending time as a family and we are super busy building our forever home. We can't wait to get moved - hopefully by Thanksgiving!
I am really excited about serving the PVES community and I look forward to meeting all of you and your children in the coming months. I met the wonderful PVES staff several weeks ago and will be spending time with them periodically over the summer. I will be working in the office from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm each day, please don't hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions. My email address is email@example.com.
