Finals Week Activities
The Hour of Code Has Ended
Wow. The past two weeks were intense. There were plenty of firsts. Our library rolled-out Minecraft EDU for the first time. We also celebrated the Hour of Code for the first time. To conclude the celebration, we played unplugged activities for the first time as well. The celebration was a complete success. Students literally ran to the library to participate. The library has plans to offer additional coding experiences next semester. A big thank you to the following staff members who came out to help: Castillo, Riley, De Vera-Arellano, Braito & Briceno.

Teamwork
Mr. Briceno reviews the algorithm before declaring a winner.
Book to Movie Series
Another first for our library. During finals week, students will be invited to screen a special documentary on the life of King Tut, produced by the Smithsonian Channel. The screening will happen during lunch from December 18th to the 20th in the Reference Room. In order to participate, students must download the King Tut eBook and be ready to engage in a conversation about the book. Participants will qualify to win prizes.
How do you access the eBook?
Click here and look for "Abdo." Once on the "Abdo" site, do a keyword search for King Tut. A picture of the book cover is below.
