Please send Colleen Knuth or Melissa Freeman entries for the November Newsletter. We want to share snapshots of Tplus from October and upcoming events in November. All entries must be submitted by Friday at 10am.

Anyone who took pictures of our Latino Celebration, please email them to Melissa Freeman.

Please take a look at the current Twin Cities Metro labor market information. All of the information is compiled from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development. There are many occupational areas that are currently experiencing very high demand. Food service, Sales and the medical field are all particularly strong and this is expected to continue.

I have organized the occupational areas by the level of education required. As you can see, median wages range from $23,500 (waiter) to $84,000 (Electrician). Please let me know if you have questions about local occupational trends or the labor market in the metro area. I would be happy to provide additional information.

Bakery Orders:

There’s still plenty of time to get your order in for a special treat! Bring cookies, pumpkin bars, a Bundt cake to that next football party of family event. Yum!

Did you spill something?

If you or one of your students spills something on the floor, please notify the front office or notify Pete or DJ immediately. This way the spill will not turn into a permanent stain.

Please use cups with lids on them. If we continue to have spills throughout the building we will need to start limiting what and where people can drink.

Please share this with students also!

CBI Important Reminders:

  • Be sure to highlight the names of the students that are in attendance in your module.

Public Service Announcement

The ESPs at Transition Plus are currently without a union steward.

It’s really important to have someone represent needs and advocate in tough times.

Additionally, ESPs are in the midst of bargaining for a new contract.

If you, or someone you know, are interested in becoming an ESP Union Steward, please contact Tia, Jill, or Jake.
