Events This Week!
NWEA Spring Benchmark Window Begins
The spring NWEA Benchmark Testing Window ends next Friday, 5/20. Please be sure to use the M-STEP and NWEA Testing Schedule to make sure that the Computer Lab and Chromecarts are available for your testing.
M-STEP
Our 4th graders will take the M-STEP this week and next week! Please continue to remind your students to be extra quiet and respectful as they travel the halls for specials, to/from lunch/recess, etc. Thank you!!!
PTO Meeting
The last PTO Meeting for the year is tomorrow, Tuesday, May 10. Please let Katie know if you have anything for the PTO.
Superintendent Interviews
Round 1 of the Superintendent Interviews are this Tuesday (5/10) and Wednesday (5/11) beginning at 6pm at the Board Office. Three candidates will be interviewed on Tuesday and two candidates on Wednesday. Doug emailed out their names last week.
Child Study Team!
We have a Child Study Team Meeting this Wednesday, May 11 beginning at 8am.
School Improvement Team Meeting
We have a School Improvement Team Meeting this Thursday, May 12 beginning at 7:30am. All are welcome to attend!
District Art Show!
The Fenton District Art Show & 15th Annual Empty Bowls Event is this Thursday, May 12, from 6-8pm at AGS Middle School! All State Road students will be represented in the show, either as one of the over 225 of our students with an individual artwork on display, or as a participant in a grade level mural. And do enjoy the beautiful display of ceramic bowls made by State Road 4th graders while also enjoying some ice cream at the 15th Annual Empty Bowls Event. Better yet, take home the bowl of your choice for only a small donation, proceeds to benefit St. Vincent De Paul Society Food Bank. Admission is free to this always awesome, fun-filled, family-friendly community event!!
Hungry Howie's Night
This Thursday, May 12 is our next Hungry Howie's Pizza Night! The classroom with the most participating families will win a Pizza Party! Please help remind your students of this event and that they need to tell Hungry Howie's that they are from State Road and who their classroom teacher is.
Youth Orchestra Assembly
This Friday, May 13, the Youth String Orchestra will perform for our students beginning at 2:30pm in the Cafetorium!
State Road Garage Sale
Our Annual State Road Garage Sale is this Saturday, May 14 from 9am-2pm. Please consider donating saleable items to our sale! Help setting up on Friday after school and cleaning up on Saturday from 2-3:30pm is also needed. Thank you!!!
Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible!
Please continue to make the extra effort to promote, practice, and model our Daily Affirmation of being Safe, Respectful, and Responsible. Please continue to escort your students to/from Specials and remind them of our shared expectations while working independently in the halls or travelling with a friend to other locations throughout the building. Thank you all for your continued help with this!

ALL Observations are finished!!! Yeah!!!
I will begin working on our Summative Evaluations over the next few weeks. Summative Evaluation Meetings will begin sometime in May. More information on these meetings will be shared at our next staff meeting.
