Thank You

As we approach Thanksgiving, I wanted to take a minute to thank you for all you do for our school community. Educating your children is one of the most important things to us. We are so lucky to have all of you as partners on this journey. Together, we are setting these kids up with the skills and tools they need to be successful. Your children are among our greatest blessings - thank you for sharing them with us every day. We are truly LUCKY!

This Week's Schedule

Monday - Regular School Day

Tuesday - Regular School Day

Wednesday - NO SCHOOL

Covid At Home Test Kits

Covid test kits will be sent home with your children this week for those who filled out the form by November 16th. Please check their backpacks.

School Pictures and Retakes

As long as our pictures are delivered this week, they will be going home with your child(ren) before Thanksgiving break.

We have retakes scheduled for Wednesday, November 30th.

November Food Drive

We have this week and next week to hit our goal! We have close to 700 items. Keep them coming. Mrs. Kleinebreil's third grade class is in the lead with over 100 items. Our goal is 1000 items by December 1st. Help us hit our goal.

Term 1 Info

Report cards will be published in ASPEN on December 9th. It is important to make sure you have access to your ASPEN account. If you need assistance with your login information, please reach out. One of our goals this year is to make sure that as many families as possible access their child's report cards.

Also, as we close out term 1, we will be looking at our attendance data more closely as it is a goal on our School Improvement Plan. As you know, attendance is an important factor in children's success. Research supports that student attendance has a direct correlation to student achievement and graduation rates.

More to come with this, but in the meantime, please review the policy below:

ST Math Day of Champions

Mrs. Marcet and I were invited to present at an ST Math Conference last week to share our successes with other schools across the state. As a school, last year we reached 94% completion which was incredible! This is due to many factors but the most important is the dedication and commitment of the students, teachers and guardians. We continue to reflect on our work and look for ways to improve what we do. We are excited to share what we learned with our staff - this year 95%!

PTO Mix and Mingle

Thank you to those who came out to our first Mix and Mingle. It was a small crowd but definitely fun to meet up outside of school. Hopefully, this is something we will do again in the future. We are always looking for ideas for new events. If you have something - please reach out!

Kindness Tree

It's that time of year - when we stop and take a moment to thank someone for their kindness.

November is Kindness Month. We are building a kindness tree filled with leaves of kindness! We will be collecting here at school but wanted to expand this to home. If your child shows an act of kindness to another - fill out this quick form, and we will add a leaf with your child's name. You never know when a small act of kindness can change someone's day.

Staff Spotlight

We all like a little spotlight once in a while.... If you or your child would like to spotlight a staff member, please fill out this form. Your comments will be shared with the staff to brighten their spirits by showing them just how much they mean to you.

Northeast Generals

Once again, we are partnering with the Northeast Generals. We won last year, and the PTO earned a check for all our clicking and sharing - not to mention bragging rights.

What do you need to do?

  • Download the Generals app if you have not done so yet.
  • Click on the heart for each picture/video and earn $.01 each click!
  • Hit the share button for another $.
