We are starting a new six weeks and it is so important that students get off to a great start. As we approach the Holiday time it is important to plan trips around school holidays so students can be in class as much as possible. Thanks for your support.
Students will be taking Interim STAAR tests in the coming weeks. These tests help our district and students identify areas that are needed to work on. It is very important that students do their take these tests seriously so we can get accurate information. Please help us encourage your student to do their very best so we can be our very best!

A Message from Officer Mordecai and Administration
From Mrs. Martin
The Capturing Kids Heart focus for November will be Teamwork
What is Teamwork?
Teamwork is the ability to work in unity with others towards a common goal. For us to learn how to become team players, it is important that we learn to listen, encourage our peers, and allow and invite others to contribute their talents and skills.
Why focus on Teamwork?
- Teamwork improves communication: Teamwork helps us improves our verbal and non-verbal communication skills, conveying that we care and a relevant message.
- Teamwork builds interpersonal awareness: Growing a great team requires us to first build strong relationships through better understanding ourselves and others.
- Teamwork celebrates diversity. Teamwork thrives from diverse ideas that come from a mixture of different genders, cultures, expertise, experience, and problem-solving approaches.
Our Student of the Month will be a student that represents the quality of Teamwork; someone that models gratefulness, acknowledges positive moments, and affirms the positive actions of other students and teachers.
From the Bus Barn
Please remind your students about continuing to show proper behavior on the buses. We want the bus ride home to reflect the same level of respect we expect in the school building. Disruptive behavior can distract our bus drivers and we want to make sure everyone behaves appropriately and everyone gets home safely.
Thanks for your support
