A MESSAGE FROM DR. HARRISON
Hello Legacy Families!
It was another great week here at LMA!
You may have noticed on campus on through our social media that it is DINO DASH TIME! If you are new to Legacy, we LOVE the Dinosaur Dash, and take great pride in being the highest participating secondary school three years in a row. We need your help to keep that title running for the 4th year! Sign up using the button below, and we will see you at the Dash!
We appreciate your ongoing support of Legacy Magnet Academy and look forward to a wonderful year as we partner together to deliver the best program to our students!
Thank you!

Kai Gatuslao
Hi, my name is Kai Gatuslao. I love performing, and writing, and my favorite song is A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square. I have been in Taekwondo for 10 years, and I started working at my studio as an Assistant Instructor last year in September. After I graduate, I plan on going to IVC to finish up my general education courses, then transfer to a 4-year university if I don’t get into one right off the bat. My dream college is Chapman University and I plan on majoring in Landscape Architecture. Right now I’m planning on working towards a bachelor’s degree and maybe work towards my master’s. Legacy has been an even better school than I expected it to be. I have learned so much from all my teachers and friends, and overall I have become a much better person because of the people who believe in me (Drama people, I’m talking about you!). I’m honestly really scared about my future as I’m only young with many more things to experience, yet I’m being asked to choose one thing that I might not stick with for the rest of my life. But, I do love and look for the beauty in everything, so I’m confident I can look for the positives in life when I cross that bridge. In 10 years from now I can picture myself traveling to every country in Europe I can afford, most likely working a remote job that I can do from anywhere in the world, and still writing my books whenever I have free time.
Hung Tran
Hi my name is Hung Tran, I’m an immigrant student from Vietnam and I came to the U.S. in 2015. I enjoy traveling to different countries/states and designing/decorating my car and house. I also hold a brown belt rank in taekwondo and have been learning taekwondo for 5 years. When I’m not at school, you’ll often find me working as a cashier at a local fast-food restaurant, and I’ve had this job for almost a year now. After graduating, I plan to go straight to Cal State College if I get accepted and study there for 5 years to get a Bachelor's Degree. If not, I would like to go to OCC for 2 years and transfer to Cal State. My dream college is Cal State Long Beach, where I plan on majoring in Architecture and House Design, with a Bachelor's degree in mind for now and maybe eventually working toward a Master’s degree. Something that I will take with me from Legacy is learning new things, and asking a lot of questions. I wish to become a person who is willing to learn more about everything in the world. I feel both nervous and excited about my future because I don’t have a lot of experience in adult life. Kind of scared about how my life is going to end up and I still think about my plans. In 10 years, I would like to see success in my major and be able to run my own business, travel with my family, and keep learning more.
