A Message from the Superintendent
Summer school ends this coming Thursday, June 29. For additional summer programs, visit the City of Riverside and the City of Corona for a variety of activities and sports for children and youth. I also suggest joining the City of Riverside Public Library Reading program here. They offer great programs and challenges to motivate your child. Learn about the summer reading programs in the City of Corona here. They too have great programs. Team up with your public library and make the Summer of 2023 the summer of growth. Encourage your children to take a reading challenge today.
This past Thursday at our Regular Meeting of the Board of Education, we celebrated some of our outstanding graduates. Throughout the school year the Board recognizes outstanding students, staff, and volunteers. We are privileged to serve the Alvord community and never take anyone or anything for granted. As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we will continue to put our students first and dedicate our human, educational, and fiscal resources to the betterment of our students and our community. Congratulations to these students for earning the top GPAs in their schools.
You can find more pictures of the 2023 Top Scholars event as well as all of the highlights and action taken by the Board of Education at Thursday's meeting here.
