Back to School...
We finished the week with our 2021 PBIS Kickoff. On Friday, students rotated through several stations, learning all about the B.E.A.R. Expectations. Members of the elementary staff helped the students learn about the expectations in the cafeteria, at assemblies and recess, in the hallways, restrooms, while using technology, and while on the bus. We finished the day with an all-school assembly. Several lucky students were chosen from the BEAR jar to participate in a Hula Hoop Contest. Students got to meet Blaze the Bear and watch members of the staff showing off their best dance moves. It was a fabulous way to wrap up our first week!
*At Dismissal time, pick up students will begin loading at 3:10 pm. We ask that parents keep the parent pick up line moving as quickly as possible. If you are picking up a Junior High or High School student, in addition to an elementary student, please park in a parking spot instead of driving through the pick up line. The drive-thru pick up line is for parents of elementary students only.
*Both breakfast and lunch meals will be FREE again this school year for all Danville students. However, "seconds" will be charged to a student's lunch account as normal.
*At this time, we are limiting visitors in the building during the school day.
*Don't forget to check the Danville CSD Facebook page for school updates. We often post pictures and updates about what is happening at Danville Elementary. Check us out and give us a "LIKE" on our account.

This week we will start with pictures from Mrs. Beckman's 2nd Grade Classroom. The class read the children's book "Officer Buckle and Gloria". On Friday morning, the class had a special visit from our School Resource Officer Corey Whitaker. Officer Whitaker brought the students special deputy stickers and spoke about how he helps keep our school safe. The kids especially enjoyed "Donuts with Deputy Whitaker". Check out the pictures below!
