Where is your favorite place to read? When do you usually read?
Maia's favorite place to read is in her bedroom because it is the quietest place in her house. She usually reads at night because she's busy during the day with school and after school activities.
What is your favorite genre or topic to read about? Why?
Maia's favorite genre to read is fiction because she likes how the author can use his/her imagination. She prefers more entertaining stories rather than factual stories.
What is a book you've heard of, and might be interested in, but haven't read yet? What's intriguing about it?
Maia would like to read the Harry Potter series because she has seen some of the movies and likes the mystical aspects of the series, including the action scenes.

Describe your first memories of writing.
Maia used to write and illustrate her own books when she was younger out of computer paper. Maia first started writing books when she was 5 years old.
Have you ever kept a journal? What did you write about?
Maia had a journal when she went to Frost Valley. She wrote about the activities she did there.
Explain a writing piece from any time of your life that you are especially proud of.
Maia wrote a personal narrative in the fourth grade about when a tree fell and hit her shed.

Maia would want to be a hot pink crayon because it's a bright cool color.
Have you ever been on an airplane? What's the best place that you have traveled to?
"Yes, I go on a lot of trips but I'm not a fan of planes. The best places she has traveled to was Costa Rica. She said she had a lot of fun and she would like to go back one day." -Maia
