Arkansas Gives

Thank you to everyone who supported our scholarship fund yesterday. Your support of our families who need assistance to provide a Montessori education for their children is appreciated. We raised a little more than $1,500.

If you did not make a donation and would like to do so, you can write a check to the school and we will add it to our fund. It won't increase our total from yesterday, but it will make a difference.

Remember, the only money we have to give away in scholarships is the money we raise, so every dollar counts.

Upper Elementary will run the concession stand featuring drinks, pizza by the slice, candy, and more.

The event organizers have requested that each family donate at least one prize or silent auction item. This could be something purchased, a homemade creation, or donation from a business. Some ideas: gift cards to restaurants or for services/experiences, gas cards, gift baskets, food, toys, games, etc. Prize donations should be at least $10 and need to be turned in to the school office by April 22. Bridge Ceremony -

A long-held Montessori tradition that we are excited to implement is the Bridge Ceremony. Current kindergarten and third-grade students will walk across a bridge symbolizing their transition into the next environment. They will be welcomed by the students from that class. It is a moving and exciting experience for the children and parents.

Talent Show -

Following the Bridge Ceremony, is our 2nd Annual Montessori School Talent Show! Students need to register with Ms. Hayes no later than Friday, May 13 if they wish to participate. Primary children may be in one performance (individual or group). Elementary children may be in one individual and one group performance, if they choose. Performances are limited to 3 minutes.

Lunch -

We will wrap up the fun and festivities with a school-wide lunch. Tickets are $5/person and are not included in lunch bunch. Tickets for children and adults must be purchased in advance. Order forms will go home as the time approaches.

If you can help plan the event or help the day of, please contact the school office.
