Dare to be Different!

Blog: Thought for the Day

When is the last time you reflected on how successful YOU are? The places you have been and seen, the adversity you have overcome, and how hard you worked to make it all happen.

Don't forget to pat yourself on the back every once in awhile. The things you have accomplished so far in your life are absolutely amazing. It never hurts to remember that.

Enjoy your weekend!

Band Concert

Congratulations to Sarah and Chris on an awesome band concert Tuesday night. They went out on a limb and tried a different venue (the gym), and it went well!

Another great performance brought to you by our music department!

Coffee Guy

Back by popular demand, The Coffee Guy will be with us on December 13th serving up all of your favorite school appropriate beverages :) Make sure to join us in the cafeteria during PLC on that day.

Wind Ensemble

The FTMSE Wind Ensemble Band had quite the treat this week when Dr. Dan Bolin paid them a visit. Dr. Bolin is director of the Symphonic Band and associate professor of music at the Jordan College of Fine Arts, Butler University. He received his B.M. and M.M. degrees from Butler and his Ed.D. from Indiana University.

What a cool experience for our band students. Thanks to Sarah and Chris for making this happen.

Sub Plans

I have subbed in several classes over the past couple of weeks. The overriding theme that I have encountered is that there is not enough work left. It is a struggle for a sub when the plans are good for 25 minutes, and then the expectation is that they sit quietly. Please leave way more than you think they need for 65 minutes.

Keeping our subs coming back is a group effort and this is one piece of the puzzle.

Thanks!

Finals Schedule

We will be on a No PRIDE schedule December 13th-19th. See your department leader for details about finals. Please keep in mind that there should be no assessments scheduled during this window that require additional assistance to provide accommodations.
