Operation: Clean Work Space
It's That Time...
We've all spent the last several weeks and months being bombarded by emails, phone calls, meetings, reports, and other responsibilities. Unfortunately for many of us (yours truly included), maintaining our work spaces has fallen by the wayside on our list of priorities. Now is an opportune time to clear the clutter, purge your files, and tidy up your common storage areas (no, you don't need those leftover event posters from 2003). Yes, it's time to be out with the old to make room for the new in those storage "cages" here in the building.
The Center for Education Services is going to be cleaned over the summer months, and it is helpful to have items off the floor, out of the hallways, and stored appropriately.
Keep in Mind...
Organizing your work space comes down to what works best for your personal efficiency. Make your work area uniquely you - but balance those creative juices with the understanding that we work in a professional, public facility. Besides, who wants to cover up those beautiful photos of your children, grandchildren, and loved ones?
Cleaning up your area (both above and underneath your desk!) may help you unearth some organization accessories and caddies that you can use or share with your colleagues. I can promise you - just clearing the stacks of chaos off your desk top can be quite therapeutic!
