Teacher Spotlight

Congratulations to our Education Foundation Winners: Mr. Knuckles, Ms. McCagren, Ms. Nelson and Ms. Sykes. Our campus will benefit greatly from your efforts. Ms. Sykes, ATLAS Academy teacher, wrote a grant to help sustain our annual field trip to NCI. Thanks to all who wrote grants this year!

Student Spotlight

We love to see our ATLAS students work outside of school and be successful. This past weekend Bonnie Gibson worked with her church to help clean The Cove, which was modeled after the center in Georgetown. This will provide a place for displaced teenagers to go after school, where they can do laundry, eat and get help with homework. Bonnie thinks that it is really cool to see how many people are willing to help this group of teenagers, who not many really think about. After this past weekend she is really excited about the opening and the impact it will have on so many. Way to go Bonnie!

We are still raising money for each field trip. The deadline for the DC trip money is Friday, April 15. If you have any questions do not hesitate to call 254-981-5899 or email

If you would like to help sponsor a student please use the contact information above. Thank you to everyone who has supported our efforts.
