Hello Woods Lake Family,

We are so THANKFUL for you and want you to know that we, along with our community partners, acknowledge your hard work in ensuring that your child is online and learning daily! To show our appreciation, we are planning to distribute several items to your child.


SAVE the DATE: November 16-20. We will be distributing art materials for a building wide thanksgiving project that we will post on our Woods Lake webpage, winter outerwear, whiteboards and markers for students in grades K-3, headphones/earbuds with microphones, and stocking stuffers. We want you to know how much we appreciate you!

Kalamazoo Kids in Tune (KKIT)

Kalamazoo Kids In Tune has started their virtual program: Stronger Together, Celebrating our Diverse-City. We were happy to welcome 21 students from Woods Lake into the KKIT program this year!


If you participated in KKIT in the past and would like to enroll again this year -

it's not too late! Just contact Ms. Donielle by email: dhetrick@kalamazoosymphony.com or by Cell: 269-929-8253 and we'll get you enrolled. If you have a 3rd or 4th grade student who is interested in joining KKIT for the first time, we will be enrolling new students again next month.

What are the office hours for Woods Lake Elementary School?

Monday through Friday, 8:00-4:00 p.m.


What can I do to support my child with learning from home?

Routine is important! Continue to structure your child's day. This will give them a sense of normalcy, set an expectation, and help them remain calm and focused.


In what ways can I help my child with academics?

Be sure to check your child's google classroom. It will keep you informed about your child's progress. You may also connect your personal email to the account to remain updated.
