Inner City governments could not afford to properly maintain schools, transportation, police, and fire departments. The urban poor suffered.
White Collar Jobs
During the 1950's business expanded rapidly. The majority of Americans are now leaving their blue color jobs, or industrial jobs for white collar jobs which are higher education and higher paying jobs.
Advertismnet
American businesses took advantage of new T.V advertising. In 1950 advertisement was $170 million, and in 1960 it was $2 billion.
