Wildcat Pride

April 28, 2023

Dear Wellington Families,

First Grade's Circus Performance was outstanding! Many thanks to Mrs. Reed, first grade teachers, and students for their hard work!

We were excited to recognize and celebrate the following students for their hard work all year long: Reyansch Parekh, Ryan Block, Emma O’Connell, Tala Ghanbarpour, Sawyer Mann, and Johnny Ross!

Staff Appreciation Week is next week! Thank you in advance for celebrating our fabulous staff members!

Next Friday, May 5th, is the annual “National School Lunch Hero Day”. This is the one day a year, where children nationwide are encouraged to express their gratitude to their schools lunch staff who work tirelessly on a daily basis to provide healthy meals. It is a great way for kids to express their own creativity, and celebrate the amazing ladies working in our cafeteria.

First round of STAAR is also complete! Science STAAR for fifth grade will take place on Thursday, May 4th.

We would like to give them the gift of time together as a team, but we need your help! Campus administration and support staff will also be there to help, but we can't do it alone!

Wellington’s Career Day is coming up on May 16th!

Hello, Wildcat Families!

Wellington’s Career Day is coming up on May 16th. We are looking for any and all volunteers that would like to come and share about their career. WES’s Career Day is designed to be a low stress, quick overview of what each person’s job entails. Exact times are dependent on the number of volunteers, but most likely it will be an 8:00am arrival with presentations from 8:15-11:15. Students will rotate to presenters for a quick 15 minute presentation with a 5 minute break between groups.

For more information or to volunteer - CLICK HERE!

If you still have questions, please email Kristin King – kingk@lisd.net or call 972.350.4835.

We are looking forward to a fun and successful Career Day!
