North East ISD

Family Engagement Program

National Teacher's Day-May 8th

Teachers work long hours, spend personal money, and have a passion for shaping our children's future on a daily basis at North East ISD. They inspire, encourage, and build resilience in our children because they have a true passion for the vocation. Let's show them our gratitude with a hand written note, a touching email with specific reasons why you are thankful for their service, or volunteer to help them for just one hour this month. Let's shower our teachers with gratitude on May 8th since it is National Teacher Day! Contact your school front office for specific events or activities that will be happening on your child's campus.

Work with your children to research and learn more about the vocation and why it is critical to have only the best teachers in our NEISD classrooms. KLRN has a great timeline on the history of the teaching profession. http://www.pbs.org/onlyateacher/timeline.html
