Principal's Message
Hello Patton Panthers!
We are busy getting the building ready for our students arrival and we cannot wait to see everyone streaming through our doors this coming Wednesday, 17th August! I for one am SO excited to finally be able to put faces to names and to get to meet you all in person!
I hope you enjoy these last few days of summer break and are relaxed and ready and raring to go next week! In the meantime, here are a few more bits of information for you should you need any refreshers!

SCHOOL SUPPLY DROP OFF
Supply Drop off will occur on Tuesday, August 16th from 2:50-3:20pm. Teachers are still busy preparing for an amazing first day of school. We kindly ask that families make this a quick visit so that teachers can say hello to each of their students during this time. Once you drop off your supplies please feel free to head outside to the blacktop area and connect with other families outdoors. There is no need to organize supplies while you are here. Teachers will build that into the first few days of school.
If you ordered supplies through the PTA, those supplies will be delivered directly to your child's classroom. If you still need to purchase supplies, please visit the below link for a school supply list. If you are unable to attend supply drop off, please know that your child can bring their supplies in over the first few days of school.
MEDICATION DROP OFF
Please bring any medications that your child may require this year to the School Supply Drop Off on Tues. August 16th, 2:50 - 3:20pm. Our CSN, Megan Evans, will be here to facilitate the collection and storage of these medications.
LUNCH INFORMATION
Patton will continue to have three lunch shifts where students have twenty minute shifts to eat lunch during the 12:10 - 1:10 lunch/recess hour. We have overflow seating for students who may need some additional time to eat their lunch. When students are not eating lunch, they are outside at lunch recess.
12:10-12:30 -- First Grade
12:30-12:50 -- Fourth and Fifth Grade
12:50-1:10 -- Second and Third Grade
If you would like to enroll in the "MyMealtime" payment program you will need your child's Student ID number. This can be found on the Class Placement letter you received on Wednesday.
SNACKS
Snacks are allowed to be brought in - it must be a fruit or vegetable in its own skin.
DROP OFF AND PICKUP PROCEDURE
During the first days of school, additional staff will be outside to greet your children so everyone knows where to line up prior to entering the building. Patton's Traffic Team will be on-site daily (beginning the afternoon of August 17th) to help ensure cars line up properly and to help children exit from cars. We ask that you abide by their directions while picking up and dropping off as their top priority is student safety. School staff will begin supervising students at 8:50 am each morning out on the blacktop.
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th Grade
- Drop off in the main lot begins at 8:50am. Students should not be dropped off earlier than this time as there is no supervision.
- Students enter the building at 8:55am with class beginning at 9:05am
- Students should line up behind the sign with their teacher's name.
- In the event of inclement weather, drop off will be in the same location and staff will bring students into the building from 8:50am
- Pick up in the main lot begins at 3:35pm
- Those with siblings in PM Kindergarten may be picked up with their siblings at the East doors along Patton Avenue.
AM Kindergarten
- Drop off in the main lot begins at 8:50am. Students should not be dropped off earlier than this time as there is no supervision. Students enter the building at 8:55am, with class beginning at 9:05am.
- Students should line up behind the sign with their teacher's name.
- Pick up in the main lot/blacktop area at 11:50am. We ask that Kindergarten students and families leave promptly as our first through fifth graders will be transitioning to recess.
PM Kindergarten
- Drop off at the main entrance of the school (office entrance) begins at 12:45pm. Students should not be dropped off earlier than this time as there is no supervision.
- Students enter the building at 12:50pm.
- Pick up at the east doors along Patton Avenue begins at 3:35pm.
Your help is needed to keep our drop-off line moving each morning.
- Have students ready to get out of the car when you arrive at Patton: If children have their coats on and school items in hand when you pull up, they can quickly exit the car.
- If your child needs your assistance, please pull into a parking space so you can help them as this will help the flow of traffic along the drop/off pick up line.
- When dropping off your student(s) in the drop/off zone, we ask that you remain in your car and that student(s) exit your vehicle on the passenger side of the car. When parking in the lot, we ask that you use the crosswalk painted in the lot to safely cross the parking lot to get to and from your car.
DROPPING OFF FORGOTTEN ITEMS
CURRICULUM NIGHT - THURS 25th AUGUST
Third through Fifth Grade Classrooms: 6:00 - 6:30pm
Specials Meet and Greet in the Commons: 6:20 - 6:50pm
Kindergarten through Second Grade Classrooms: 6:45 - 7:15pm
BACK TO SCHOOL BASH
Mark your calendars for this always wonderful event! Hosted by our amazing PTA, this is a great way to meet new faces/reconnect with old friends after summer and kick off what is going to be a spectacular year!
