CELEBRATE LEADERSHIP DAY
A few of the topics discussed in PD to support this event included:
- Helping to set students up for success within Advisory by facilitating discussions and decisions around expectations and choices for invitations and content of the Advisory Anchor rotation.
- Creating more opportunities for action teams and clubs to share their passion and leadership skills throughout the year, outside of Leadership Day. This helps us achieve our goal of creating an environment rich with opportunities for students to engage in leadership skill development, participate on different teams, and experience growth and different areas of passion. While grade level teams and (adult) Lighthouse are crazy helpful with the planning process, consider using the resource below, provided by Leader In Me for ideas! This resource is intended for classroom activities, but with just the right tweak and discussion prompts, it can also be used as starting points for action teams to share their learning, projects, passion and more with others!
