Build Digital Citizenship Support for Your School
What's it about?
Learn how to effectively integrate digital citizenship lessons and principles in your classrooms/school settings through the development of lesson plans and/or schoolwide supports. Become familiar with the nine elements of digital citizenship and how they intersect with selected BrightBytes data points for further progress monitoring. This course will be most effective with individuals/teams responsible for teaching digital citizenship in the classroom, including, but not limited to: technology coaches, K-12 media specialists, tech integrationists, instructional coaches. This course is best suited for building-level teams, district-level teams, and grade level/department teams.
This course may be taken for one hour of recertification credit.
What will the learning look like?
- May 10th, 4:30-5:30: GWAEA 6th Street Facility Face-to-face intro to course
- May 11th-August 3rd: Online learning, work at your own pace (approx 1.5 hour/week)
- August 4th, Time TBA (30 min): Webconference call with a consultant to share your learning and next steps
