NEF - Night for Northville

Why should kids have all the fun?!? Join the Northville Educational Foundation for a bewitching Night For Northville evening at Meadowbrook C.C. that includes the Shawn Riley Band, open bar, costume contests, fantastic food, wine pull raffle, silent auction and more! Night For Northville is NEF's premiere fundraising event, now with a great new venue and new "black and orange" theme! Fall Festival

Friday, October 19th

5:30PM – 8PM

Please join us for food and entertainment at the Winchester PTA’s 2018 Fall Festival!

The Fall Festival will include:

· Food – The Cosmic Burrito Food Truck (, Papa John’s Pizza, Mrs. Field’s Cookies, SkinnyPop popcorn, Soda, Flavored Sparkling Water, CapriSun

· Entertainment – Gaming Truck (XBOX, Wii), Miniature Motorways Slot Car 5-lane oval race track and 8-car Demolition Derby, Inflatable Obstacle Course (Adrenaline Rush II, Airbrush Tattoos (featuring the Winchester Dragon!)

· Carnival Games & Prizes (points earned from games can be redeemed for prizes)

· Cake Walk (cake donations needed the day of the event)

· Classroom Raffle Baskets (winners drawn at the end of the event)

The Fall Festival is designed to be fun for your entire family! Please join us to eat, play games, win prizes, and socialize with fellow Winchester families and staff. Upon arrival, you can purchase tickets near the Main Entrance and in the Dragon Den. We will also pre-sell tickets before and after school. Food and Game tickets are 2 for $1, and are used to purchase pizza/popcorn/cookies/drinks (Note: the food truck will be cash/credit sales at the Cosmic Burrito food truck), and to participate in all Entertainment Features, Carnival Games, and the Cake Walk. Raffle tickets are $1 each for a chance to win one of the amazing themed baskets. Each classroom has chosen a theme, and filled their basket with great items!

As you can imagine…all this fun takes a lot of volunteers! Volunteers are needed to set-up before the event, sell tickets, and tear-down after the event. Please sign up via the links below, or contact if you can help!

National Walk and Ride your Bike to School Day is coming!

Winchester is participating in National Walk and Ride your Bike to School Day. This event takes place on Wednesday, October 10. Ms. Haite, Mrs. Counts and Mrs. Lindsay will be outside in the morning to greet students who are walking or riding their bikes. We will pass out a special Winchester Winner to those students who participate. Students will write their name on this special Winchester Winner and turn it into the school office. We will have a drawing and 10 students will earn free play time in the gymnasium during lunch/recess one day! We hope you will join this great celebration of health!

As a reminder, the student handbook requires all students riding their bikes to wear a helmet.

Northville City Fire Department Open House

Fire Prevention Week Activities

During the week of October 8th - 12th, there will be a Northville City Fire Department Open House at 215 W. Main St., Northville, MI 48167. There will be new activities as well as a brand new obstacle course for kids. Please join us and learn about Fire Prevention within your home and community. More information is provided on the flyers below.

Spirit Wear Sale

Fridays are spirit days at Winchester and we encourage all staff and students to wear their Winchester spirit wear! Get your Winchester spirit wear now. Lots of great items for students and parents!

Order and pay online by October 21st at Items will arrive towards the end of November. These items also make great Christmas gifts too!

School Board Elections

Mark your calendars! Tuesday, October 16th is the School Board Forum brought to you by the Northville Council of PTAs. Forum room at Hillside Middle school, from 7:00 - 8:00pm. Meet all four candidates and have the opportunity to have your questions answered

Tissue Donations for the French Room

As we approach the season of sniffles and colds, the French Room would appreciate any donations of tissues as we try to remain healthy! Merci!

Parents At Lunch (PALS)

Please consider spending some time during lunchtime assisting the lunch staff! New this school year, you can sign up just for your child/children’s lunch period if that works better than signing up for the whole lunchtime.
