Stateside Scoop

Summer Edition

Welcome aboard to Mrs. Bracy!

Greetings Patriots,

Welcome to the 2017-18 academic year! We are looking forward to another successful year at Stateside Elementary School! I am delighted to introduce myself as the principal of Stateside Elementary and honored to join the “Patriot Team” of staff, students, and families at STES. I bring 25 years of experience to include an elementary teacher, reading specialist, assistant principal and three years as a principal in OCS. The start of the school year is upon us, and we couldn’t be more excited about the possibilities of the upcoming year.

Our goal is to continue to create authentic and innovative learning opportunities for our students. Stateside students can expect the opportunity to engage in learning, become leaders and create memories through positive experiences to last a lifetime. It is my sincere hope that your child's experience at Stateside Elementary School is one filled with joy and success as we continue to strive for academic excellence in learning and serving.

Over the course of the next few months, I look forward to learning more about the school and our community. I believe that a measure of success and excellence starts with student leadership and support from our staff, community, parents and guardians. With support for a strong foundation of excellence to include shared cooperation and expectations between school and home we will ensure that each student reaches his or her full potential. I welcome you to visit the school and take an active role in the education of your child. Parents' positive attitudes and support truly make a significant difference.

In closing, I take great pride in my commitment to students’ needs and their learning environment. My vision is for our school to be an inviting, yet empowering place where positive, lifelong experiences are made and used as a foundation and asset for the rest of their lives. I am excited to be working alongside the Stateside Elementary staff to help foster this type of learning environment. I would like to thank you in advance for your support of our school and your involvement in your student’s education. I foresee that to be one of our greatest strengths and encourage your continued support. But most especially, I want to thank you for sharing your remarkable students with us and entrusting STES to meet their academic and emotional needs. We know how blessed we are to work with them each day and be a significant part of their educational experience.

Together, we can ensure that Stateside Elementary School is where we are “Educating Today’s Patriots to be Tomorrow’s Leaders!

Leading Joyfully,

Kristie Bracy

Are you moving away from Stateside over the summer?

a note from our data manager...

Those students that will be moving over the summer will need to take a copy of their report card to their new school showing proof of grades. will sign a records request and they will send to back to Stateside for me (Mrs. S Whaley) to send them your Patriot's records. I am sure the other school will require shot records, proof of address, birth certificate, etc, but that will be your responsibility. The copies we have in the cumulative folders will not be the originals that are a requirement in most schools. If you have a student that has a confidential folder, there will be a signed records request that I (Mrs. S Whaley) will send to the County Office to send to your new school. I appreciate your help with this. We are sad to see you go, but we will help you make your transition as smooth as possible.
