Fourth Amendment Demonstration
On Thursday September 17th, three members of the Owen County Sheriff's Department took part in a demonstration with Mr. Crowe's third period class. Deputy Rhinehart and Deputy Hallam spoke to the students about the 4th Amendment from the perspective of patrolmen and resource officers. Detective Fleetwood explained his role with the 4th Amendment in investigation. Students learned about warrants, probable cause, reasonable suspicion, how warrants are obtained, how they work, and what role K9 Officer Chewy can play in obtaining evidence. At the end, the class came down to the gym to watch K9 Officer Chewy in action!
Thank you to Deputy Rhinehart, Deputy Hallam, and Detective Fleetwood for taking the time to speak to our students!
