Congratulations to the BHS National Merit Scholar Commended Students!

2023 Commended Students

2023-24 School Year

BHS Students, Parents, and Guardians:

Parent teacher conferences are Tuesday, November 7th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Conferences are in person and are on a first come first serve basis. From 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., no conferences will be held to provide a lunch break for all staff. If you have specific questions and need to schedule a conference, please email your child's teacher. Emails can be found using this link: Staff Email Again, it is on a first come basis. It is a great opportunity to meet with the teachers and discuss grades, progress, and resources they can provide. We look forward to seeing you at conferences.

We are excited to offer our College Knowledge Tour again this year. It is a great opportunity for juniors to visit 6 Ohio colleges and universities on 11/7-11/9. Students will observe, investigate, and tour each campus, see classrooms, dorms, and eat like a college student. Representatives will meet with our students, explain the application process, scholarships, and answer questions.

Last spring, BHS students took their College Board AP Exams in AP German, AP Physics, AP Statistics, AP Psychology, AP Government, AP Calculus (AB/BC), AP Art Studio, AP Biology, AP European History, AP Macroeconomics, AP Literature/Language, AP Chemistry and AP Environmental Science. Students are recognized for their success each year and cumulatively over their high school career. Students are recognized as an AP Scholar, AP Scholar with Honor, and AP Scholar with Distinction. Students who earn 3's or higher have earned one of the above distinctions. Their Journey as a Blue Devil has prepared them to use their critical thinking skills, adaptability, and responsibility through rigorous content and expectations. Congratulations to the 70 BHS AP Scholars this year.

Thank you to the students, staff, and community stakeholders who participated as a member of the vision design team for our new high school. It is an exciting time for our community!

I would like to thank the BAF, Brunswick Athletic Foundation, for making a donation to cover the cost of student tickets to most sporting events this year! Thank you for supporting our student athletes and our students! A huge shout out to the BBPO, Brunswick Band Parent Organization, who volunteer their time to run the concession stands at Brunswick Automart Stadium and for your commitment to help all of our kids on and off the field!
