Junior ACT Information
Junior students will take the statewide online ACT test in person at WHS on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. Students are reminded to use their myact.org account to complete free practice tests. On Tuesday, February 28, juniors will have a homeroom that will focus on test tips and how to use the online testing portal. On Thursday, March 2, juniors will complete pre-registration/demographic information as well as selecting colleges to send their ACT results to via their myact.org accounts. Students must complete the myact.org information by Thursday, March 9.
Excusing Student Absences
Given winter cold and flu season is in full swing, we want remind families that if your student is missing school because they are sick to be sure to report the absence to the WHS attendance office by midnight of the day of the absence. Medically excuses for absences should be turned into the attendance office within 24 hours of the absence. If a student is not excused by a parent/guardian then the student is considered truant and subject to school consequences. Stay healthy and, as always, contact a WHS Associate Principal if you have any questions or concerns about your student’s absence!
You can reach the Attendance Office the following ways:
Phone: 920-262-7537 or 920-262-7500 ext. 6408

In addition to personal growth, doing something besides sleeping and going on TikTok during the summer months (when there is more free time) can be helpful for students when starting to build out their college applications.
Collegewise counselors are sharing their tips on how students can maximize their summer break, make an impact, and explore their passions in preparation for college.

Great Things Happening Around WHS!
3rd and 4th year German students learned about the Brothers Grimm and their collection of fairy tales before reading a number of the original German versions.
As a final project, they wrote and performed their own fairy tales in German, incorporating many of the fairy tale elements they had discovered.
As they read, they took note of fairy tale characteristics and how they differ from other children’s stories.
