Butterfly School News - NOVEMBER 2020
1 Corinthians 16:13 says, 'Be alert, stand firm in the faith, be brave, be strong.'
We faithfully soldier onward as RBS continues providing quality personalized instruction to our students even during a global pandemic. We are committed to providing a healthy, safe, and clean school environment. Every RBS teacher and staff member has purposely taken on extra duties and jobs to ensure RBS remains as COVID free as possible.
Your continued support, awareness and transparency has also made the difference in our ability to safely operate. We have not yet had a reported case of COVID. Thanks to all of you as parents, when you have seen any visible signs of sickness in your child, in ABUNDANCE of caution, you have been proactive in keeping your little one home. You have quarantined when you suspected there was a remote chance of an association of exposure. You and your child are getting tested even when it is likely only allergies. You are proactively emailing me, keeping me in the loop, letting me know your child's status. These actions not only benefit your child and family but your child’s Butterfly School class family and teachers too.
We will get through this together, keep the faith, stay strong.
John 15:1 'I am the true vine, my father is the gardner.'

CHAPEL CHAT Ms Chris
In Chapel this month we will be learning that God loves us and made us. We are thankful for everything God has provided for us. God gives us food and family and the Greatest Gift of all – Baby Jesus!
Our Bible Verse for November is Colossians 3:15 “Always be thankful”
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your families. I am so thankful to be able to teach your children about God's word.

God took care of Baby Moses Exodus 2:1-10. We helped find the animals and insects that watched over Baby Moses in the bulrushes.

MUSICAL MOMENTS Ms Deborah
The music of fall is all around us! The month of November in music will be full of songs about apples, leaves, nature, and Thanksgiving. The toddlers and 2s are really warming up to music class and jumping in to sing and following along with me. We are getting into shaking to the beat whether the music is fast or slow. There are some great dancers as well. The 3s classes will continue their alphabet journey in music with T is for Tempo, C is for Conductor, and S is for Strings. We will be discussing Italian words for different tempos in music over the next few weeks starting with Largo/Adagio-slow, and Moderato-medium. We will conduct an orchestra and try out a violin as well as sing out way up to Thanksgiving. The Pre-K class will be discussing the different instruments in an orchestra beginning with the strings, which they will have a chance to try one out, and woodwinds. I will be playing my clarinet for them to a few songs they have heard before. The excitement and smiles I see each week as the children explore music just brings joy to my heart!! May your hearts find joy and thankfulness this Thanksgiving season. I am truly thankful for all of you that make up our wonderful Butterfly School!
Welcome Back Ms Jennifer!
Happy Fall! I’m am so excited to be back at Butterfly School teaching Art. I have missed all my friends. This month we jumped right into learning about primary, secondary and contrasting colors. The children did a wonderful job on their Wassily Kandinsky art project. On the back of each student's art project is a small description of the Artist and project. This month we will be continue to work on shapes, lines and outlines and introducing a new artist of the month, Vincent Van Gogh.
