Most after school clubs start next week (except Cathedral Club). If your child would like to attend any of the clubs (see the website for details of which year groups the clubs are open to) they should go along to the first session where the leader will have details of registration and payment. They will be welcome to attend in the first week (at the normal cost), but final confirmation of a place in the club will be allocated by the club's organiser.

Tuesday - Arts & Crafts
Wednesday - Schools Out / Cathedral Club (not 14th September)

We aim to send out a letter detailing all the educational visits for each class by early next week so that you are able to budget for the year ahead. Please accept our apologies for any delay in posting items on ParentPay and don't hesitate to see us if you'd like to discuss staggering payments. Thank you.
uniform
Next week we will be sending home a sheet with all your child's details, including parent and carer contact phone numbers. It is really important to check the details are correct (and amend if not) so that we can be sure we have our medical and contact information up to date. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in sending back corrected forms.
Friends of Ripon Cathedral School Update
On Wednesday 21st September we are holding our AGM in school at 9.15am. Everyone is welcome to attend a slightly more formal introductory meeting when we appoint our officers for the year. Although formal, this is still a good opportunity to meet people and find out ways you can help the Friends.
From 27th to 30th September we are running a book fair after school. A wonderful range of books will be on sale, with excellent rates of commission for school. If anyone is able to help, please let us know, thank you.

message from the Cathedral
Greetings from all of us at the Cathedral, we hope you had a wonderful summer and are suitably refreshed.
Perhaps some of you attended the craft sessions on Thursdays in August. It was lovely to have lots of local people and visitors from afar.
Our regular activities are starting again this month. Cathedral Club will begin on Wednesdays after school and it will be exciting to see old members and new. All children from Reception to Y6 are welcome to come and share stories, games, crafts and cake!
“Breakfast Natters” will resume on Thursday, September 15th and thereafter every first Thursday of the month in term time. This is a coffee morning/toddler group to which all parents, pre-schoolers and friends are welcome. We meet in Thorpe Prebend House, next to the Cathedral Hall, and share pastries, coffee and chat. It will be so nice to develop this FREE event, so do come and join us.
Children’s Church continues to meet during the 10.30 Sunday service at the Cathedral and we will warmly welcome any children who come (even just now and again). We are really excited to add a new Sunday activity. Every first Sunday of the month we are having a “Children’s Church Xtra” which will be led by Moira Siara who delivered her wonderful craft days in August. Any school age children (and accompanied pre-schoolers) are welcome to join us. Children can be dropped off for the session and stay with us for an hour of fun. The first session will be on November 6th and we will give you full details nearer the time.
All of us are really looking forward to members of the school community joining us for our harvest Festival on Sunday, October 2nd. We are holding a Ceilidh actually in the nave of the Cathedral on the evening before the Festival. It will be a family event (though bringing children is not obligatory!) and we hope you will come along for dancing and a Harvest Supper. More details nearer the time!
We would also love to see you at our FREE Harvest Craft activities in the Cathedral Hall on Saturday, September 17th from 10.30am til 12 noon. You can book a place by e-mailing canonruth@riponcathedral.org.uk.
We look forward to seeing you.
