☼Early life as Edgar Allan Poe ☽
✰Poe was an short-story writer, poet, critic, and editor.
✰ After parents death, Poe was sent to live with John and Frances Allan in Richmond, Virginia.
✰Through 1815-1821 Poe was educated in England.
✰When Edgar got back in 1826, he went to The University of Virginia.
✰Seeing Poe and his foster father John didn't have exactly the best relationship, Poe didn't receive enough funds for college from John.
✰In desperate need of money, Poe turned to gambling which resulted in him ending up in debt. Soon to drop out of college.

⌁Poe soon moved out.
⌁In 1830 Poe joined the army at West Point from winning a spot there.
⌁Edgar Allan Poe may have succeeded in his studies, but Poe was kicked out after a year due to poor handling of his duties.
⌁Focusing on his writing, Poe moved around from the states of New York, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Richmond.
⌁Throughout 1831-1835 Poe moved in with his aunt Maria Clemm and her daughter Virginia in Baltimore.
⌁Poe fell for his cousin Virginia and in 1836, The two married each other with Virginia only being the age of 13.
⌁The newlyweds moved to Richmond soon after.

∞ Poe began to have alcohol issues.
∞ Even with his problems with alcohol, Poe continued to write stories and poems.
∞ In 1847 Poe's wife died which resulted in grief and agony for Poe.
∞ Poe still persevered through life even though he was suffering from poor health and financial issues.
☼ Death Date: October 7, 1849 ☽
♕ Poe was supposedly on his way to Philly but was found in Baltimore in great distress.
♕ Poe was then taken to The Washington College Hospital.
♕ Poe later died on October 7, 1849.
♕ His last words were, "Lord, help my poor soul."
♕ Although everyone has multiple theories, no one really knows how and why he died.
