Important Notice: Senior Letter Mail Out

The SHS counselors reviewed all seniors' transcripts and schedules to ensure seniors are accurately placed in the classes needed to meet high school graduation requirements. Senior letters will be mailed home on Friday, August 13. The senior letter includes the student's:

  1. Schedule
  2. Transcript
  3. Status Report
  4. ON THE BACK OF COVER LETTER: Important information regarding how to check and monitor the HOPE GPA on www.GAfutures.org If your senior is planning to attend college in Georgia, it is his/her responsibility to create their account in GAfutures and check/monitor their high school HOPE GPA. If your senior does NOT have their social security number (SSN) on file, he/she will NOT be able to view their high school HOPE GPA.

Small Group Opportunities

Studies have shown that small groups make a big difference. Throughout the course of the school year, the counseling department will offer small groups for various topics. In September, we will begin with a College Applications small group for 12th graders (sign-up information is forthcoming). Some small group opportunities will be grade-level specific, while others will be offered to all grade levels. Stay tuned!
