Work HARD! Dream BIG! Believe in YOURSELF! Never GIVE UP!

Volume 2 - Issue 25 - February 18, 2020

Message from the Principal

Good evening Cavaliers,

Believe it or not, we are close to wrapping up the first grading period of second semester. Progress report cards will be sent home with students on Friday February 28th, however, parents may pick them up earlier that day if they attend coffee with the Principal that morning.

Thank you to all of our Faculty and Staff for working hard to help our students master content standards, and providing multiple opportunities to show their growth. We continue to offer after school tutoring in the Library, Rise-Up Friday academic interventions and Saturday Academies. Thank you to all who continue to work with our students that need the extra help!

Second semester always seems to go by very fast. Before you know it, Spring Break and SBAC testing season will be here, then End of Course Exams and end-of-year activities. We have finalized our Promotion date for this year. It will be on Thursday June 4th at 10:00 am. The ceremony will be held at CVM as we did last year. It was a great event! If you recall, last year we improved our promotion rate by 10 percent. I believe that we can build on that and improve once again. Let's aim for another 10% gain in our promotion rate, we can do it!

Thank you for your hard work, dedication and remember;

At CVM we work HARD, we dream BIG, we believe in OURSELVES and we never, ever , GIVE UP!

See Something - Say Something!

Please remember that school safety is everyone's responsibility. If you see something that doesn't look right, say something to a trusted adult. If you have information and would like to report it, but remain anonymous, you can use the P3 Tips App. The App is free to download fro the iTunes store and you can have it on your school issued iPad too. It's easy to set up and your tips go straight to San Diego Crime Stoppers. Lawn enforcement works with school administration and will even issue a reward if your tip leads to an arrest or even school disciplinary consequences.

Remember, if you see something, say something!
