Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) and Illinois Science Assessment
Each year, all Illinois public schools are required to administer a test that measures the academic achievement of students in grades 3-8. Illinois students are taking the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) exam during the school day between March 7th and March 18th. The IAR measures student achievement in English/Language Arts and Math and is designed to help parents and schools track each student’s progress toward becoming college and career ready. Students will be taking the IAR exam in early March and IAR testing will end in early April. The IAR exam is given on student Chromebooks.
The District 15 website provides more information about the IAR to include parent resources, sample tests, and links. Information about IAR can be found at this URL: https://www.ccsd15.net/Page/453.
Students in grades 5 and 8 also take the Illinois Science Assessment (ISA). ISA will be administered in April after IAR testing is completed. Students will not take IAR and ISA on the same day. Information about ISA can be found at this URL: https://www.isbe.net/isa.
Please note, as in year’s past, the District is not allowed to exclude students from state achievement testing. Should you have any questions regarding this assessment, please feel free to contact the school office.

Online student registration for the 2022-23 school year is now open!
Online student registration for the 2022-23 school year is now open. If you have not already started this process for your student(s), please visit our registration page to start this process.
Registration is the first step in getting ready for the up-coming school year. After you register your child online you need to:
Pay student fees. Our student fee webpage outlines the District’s student fee structure and the three ways fees can be paid.
If you have a student that is starting Kindergarten, entering fourth grade, or entering 7th grade, you are required to prove residency in District 15. Our residency webpage outlines the documents you will need to provide to prove residency.
All three steps of the enrollment process must be completed prior to the start of the school year. Students of families that, when required, do not prove residency, will not be able to attend class in a District 15 until the family’s residency is verified.
