Office Newsletter - Week of November 4th Edition
Happy November!
For those looking to celebrate, November is Academic Writing Month, Lung & Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, National Gratitude Month, Movember, and No-Shave-mber.
Also, for those who are really festive, I guess Thanksgiving is a pretty big one - it parallels well with National Gratitude Month.
Speaking of gratitudes, if you recall your Ninja 9 - are you keeping a journal and recording 3 new ones per day? If not, you're missing the boat. Remember, you will win the battle by training your mind to focus on the positive, especially in an industry which brings a variety of both pain and pleasure. It's not an easy task, but starting the day on your terms will provide an advantage to dealing with the many obstacles we must navigate.
This portion of the year, is also the period where most take an introspective view of their personal and professional lives and attempt to formulate a plan for change. Are you the kind who likes to just dream, jot a few notes on a napkin, or do you prefer putting together a full business plan? Well, join me on November 14th (11:30 Allentown, 1:30 Bethlehem) to talk about mission planning for 2020. I promise to challenge your thought process and help you effectuate an action plan for the upcoming season.
That's all from my end. As always, if there's anything I can do to assist, please don't hesitate to ask.
Yours truly,
Dave

Today’s buyers expect to find everything about a property listing at their fingertips.
Want to stand out from the competition and attract more buyer interest? From residential homes to commercial properties, we make it simple for you to choose the products and services you need to customize each listing, engage buyers and keep your business growing.
Whether you need to showcase a luxury property, enhance the value of a mid-market home or boost your brand – our professional, high quality photography and proven marketing solutions will get you noticed.
As part of our commitment to your marketing efforts, we're pleased to introduce a NEW platform to your host of services - MATTERPORT 3D VIDEOS!! Along with our subscription to Matterport, we also have the ability to generate 2D schematics complete with room sizes. This is a tremendous technological advancement to provide buyers with an amazing perspective of the homes we market.
With all the brokerage platforms offered, we pride ourselves on offering quality services at very affordable prices. As with every daily product and service we encounter, unfortunately the cost of doing business continues to rise. We managed to maintain our pricing structure for several years, but now are faced with the reality of increasing costs to offset expenses. As you will see, our prices for the various production services have increased, but still at a very affordable level as compared to those who perform these services in an independent capacity.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out at your convenience. We will also be handing out a production services menu during our discussion at the November Team Collaboration.

For a Ninja, the goal is to create Fabled Service. Try this out.
Your next transaction is embedded in the current transaction.
Larry said it a couple of weeks ago. Every time we get referred to a new buyer or seller the thought process is, “What do I have to do to provide such fabled service that this client will feel compelled to provide me with a lead or referral before the end of this transaction?”
We know one way to make that happen is to have a great process. The Ninja 16-Step Seller Process and the 10-Step Buyer Process are time-tested systems that create clarity for both you and your client, and greater potential for referrals. You see, how we choose to think makes all the difference when it comes to referrals.
Thought of the week:
Fabled service is created by following a process.
Steps to a Solid Business Plan for Next Year
There are less than three months left in 2019, and a better real estate business in 2020 is attainable; however, you need to do the proper planning now so that you’ll have strategies in place for next year.
No matter how good your sales were this year, there’s always room for improvement. Here are three steps you can take now to have a better business plan set for next year:
Take a hard look at this year’s numbers.
Go beyond simply looking at the number of transactions you completed. How many new clients were you averaging per month? Were certain months particularly good for you in terms of sales? Gathering this sort of information can take some time, but being aware of these numbers is important if you’re serious about setting yourself up for success in 2020.
Evaluate current market research.
As a real estate professional, you should always be keeping up with current market trends and reports; however, during this time of year, make sure you’re also reading up on predictions for next year. This is the sort of information you can pass along to current and potential homebuyers that you work with in the upcoming months.
Write out all your business goals.
It may sound simple, but taking the time to write out your goals for next year is one of the best things you can do as the current year winds down. Seeing everything you want to accomplish within your business written out in black and white will act as a great motivator.
Agents, what are some other steps you’re taking now to ensure a solid business plan for next year?
Actually, You Most Certainly Can
“You will never find time for anything. If you want time you must make it.”
Charles Buxton,
(November 18, 1823 - August 10, 1871) English brewer, philanthropist, writer and member of Parliament. an essayist, lecturer, and poet.
“You will never find time for anything. If you want time you must make it.”
Where is it written we have to do it all? In case you need reminding, you absolutely have permission not to participate in every invitation. Like many sales professionals, real estate agents feel any missed opportunity to shake hands and make connections is a potentially lost sale or referral. Not only is this somewhat cynical, viewing the bonhomie of holiday events as premium networking opportunities, but it discounts the value of your time.
You are not obligated to participate 24/7. Every time you decide to do something, you decide not to do something else. Social pressure can be a potent anesthetic, as it spares us temporarily the pain of unfinished, but important work, and our own much-needed time to recharge and gain perspective.
Do not spend your days and nights as if you have an infinite number in the bank of time. Be deliberate with your yes and your no. You can find balance in the frenzy if you make an effort to create more space for yourself.
I wanted to let you know that I have decided to pursue a new career opportunity, and that my last day at NRG will be Thursday, November 7.
My colleague Mike Boyle (mike.boyle@nrg.com) will serve as your new contact, and I have provided him with all the information he needs for a smooth transition. You may begin working with him effective immediately, and feel free to reach out to both of us if there are any outstanding items prior to end of day Thursday.
It has been a complete pleasure working with you and your clients, and I thank you for the opportunity you have provided over the years.
Thank you.
