A Message From Dr. Hinson

Hello Stuber Families,

What a wonderful week of learning we had last week! It is always rewarding to see children mature over the course of a school year. It is unbelievable that it is already the end of April. This upcoming week brings an event our students have waited two years for- FIELD DAY!! Good news parents.... you may come and observe your child participate in all the fun. You will enter and exit at the field day entrance- Look for Officer Cundiff's car! Directional signs will guide you to the field day observation areas. Please remember you will not be allowed in the building, IF you must enter the building for some reason you must wear a mask, and parking is a beast so be prepared:) The back of the school is not available for parking due to recess. If you check your student out after field day, it will be unexcused. All check outs must take place at the Field Day parent entrance/exit area. More specific information about field day can be found in this newsletter!

Your Proud Principal,

Dr. Hinson

Relay For Life

Our STUCO recently led a coin drive for Relay for Life with funds going to the American Cancer Society. They were able to raise $200 in 2 days with your help. This hits close to home for us right now as one of our own is battling cancer. Nick Horning, a 4th grade student, was recently diagnosed with cancer and began chemotherapy treatments this past week. Please join us in sending positive thoughts and prayers to the Horning family.

Attendance Matters

Please be mindful of absences and tardies. The accrual leads to missed instruction, stress on students to make up work as well as teachers to ensure understanding, and overall difficulties with forming habits necessary for success in secondary grades. Additionally, students who receive special services like speech or dyslexia miss needed services to close learning gaps. If you need strategies to help build better habits, please reach out to administration or our school counselor, Mrs. Clawson.

  • School starts at 7:45. This means students should be in their classroom at that time-not pulling up to the front door of the school.
  • ALL early dismissals must be completed by 2:15.
  • All absences should be reported to our attendance line.

This Monday, April 26th, is HOUSE ASSEMBLY DAY!! So wear your shirts, your house colors, your crazy socks, and wacky hair. We can't wait to see who our House Winner is this month. The Assembly will be broadcast via Facebook Live, so tune in on our school's Facebook page for all the fun.

This week we continue to focus on Self-Control. We are having more trash on the floor, unkind words to friends, and arguments at recess. Please help us remind students that manners are essential, using our words is important, and we always clean up after ourselves!
