PORTRAIT OF A CAROLINE GRADUATE IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL
Message from the Principal's Desk
Bulldog Families,
This is it seniors: the last week! As we come into the home stretch I encourage you all to take time to reflect on your years at NCHS. I hope that you are able to look back on your high school career and say that you had a lot of fun times, built many long lasting friendships, but most of all that you value the education that you received and you are making the world a better place. We are all so proud of you and look forward to hearing about all the amazing things you will do. Please remember that you will always be a Bulldog and this will always be your home.

5/20/21 - Graduation Reminders and Updates
Update: After considering the most recent direction from the CDC and state healthcare
partners, CCPS has advised that masks will not be required at graduation ceremonies. Masks
may still be worn based on individual choice, and it is expected everyone will be kind with
regard to other people’s choices.
Reminder 1: Each graduate has been provided four tickets for the ceremony. Chairs will be set
up in ‘pods’ of four and clearly labeled with names. It is important for all seniors and guests to
understand that seating has been carefully arranged with a variety of considerations in mind,
and chairs may not be moved from their location.
Reminder 2: For years, we’ve held graduation ceremonies indoors and have that process down
to a science. This year, an outdoor ceremony with pandemic restrictions presents a whole new set of challenges, including but not limited to the audio-visual logistics. (CRHS - NCHS) and CCPS staff from many departments and several outside contractors form a very large team working hard to make this a great day for seniors and families.
Months of planning by so many people should ensure a perfect event. However, we hope that if we do have any unexpected issues that everyone will show patience, grace and understanding. Remember that the most important part of the day will be the fact that we are all together in one place at the same time, celebrating seniors. #ONETEAM

Following the latest guidance provided by the state, students will no longer be required to wear face coverings while outside on school property if they are physically distanced. Face coverings may still be worn based on individual choice, and it is expected everyone will be kind with regard to other people’s choices. Students and staff are still required to wear face coverings while inside school buildings.
In addition, updated guidelines for schools have been provided:
COVID-19 Symptoms: Any students or staff with fever of 100.4 or higher, sore throat, cough, difficulty breathing, diarrhea or vomiting, new onset of severe headache (especially with fever), or new loss of taste or smell they should not report to school and follow up with their health care provider.
Quarantining: Individuals who have been exposed to COVID-19 and are not fully vaccinated, are awaiting a test result, have tested positive, or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 should stay home from school until released from their health care provider or the health department.
