Pope or people?

Sinner
Martin Luther is a sinner when he is not respecting the Pope's power. When Martin Luther says that the Pope has to much power and is corrupting the people, he is not being loyal to the Pope as he should be.
Saint
Martin Luther is a saint because he is trying to change the church for the better. He wants to make the people's lives better. He saw prostitutes and relics and indulgences. He wants them to have a better life. He influences so many people to do the right thing.
Sinner
Martin is a sinner because translates the Bible. The pope doesn't like this because now everyone can read the bible and he doesn't want that. Only he is supposed to read the bible not all the others.
Saint
Luther is a saint because he challenges indulgences. He doesn't want the people to buy their way into heaven he wants them to earn it by doing good deeds.
Sinner
When Luther interprets the bible, only the pope is supposed to do this and Luther did this on his own. He goes against the Pope's authority and that isn't right.
Saint
This image is describing his thoughts about how priests should not determine the seriousness of sins, only God should determine that. He is saying that God is the almighty and only he can dictate the thoughtfulness of the sins. The church should not have that much power only God does.
