From Mrs. McKnight

If you haven't already viewed them, Trimester 1 report cards are available through HAC. You will need to login to your account in order to view report cards as we do not send home a paper copy.

As a reminder, please help your child come to school dressed for the weather. We do go outside if it's above 0 degrees. Fresh air and movement remain an important part of our day so coats, hats and gloves are a necessity this time of year!

It's hard to believe that we are already at Thanksgiving! I hope that everyone finds joy in the family time over the next week. I am certainly looking forward to some downtime, kid time, and a delicious Thanksgiving meal!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving,

Kristy McKnight

Ferson Way Reward

On Thursday and Friday, all students participated in a reward activity for earning 1000 foxes for showing our Ferson Way of being Kind, Respectful, Responsible Learners! This activity was specifically designed to promote a sense of belonging by having students contribute to beautifying environments they are in daily - the cafeteria and hallway. Kindergarten - 4th grade students painted ceiling tiles in geometric patters. 5th graders designed their own tiles to reflect the Ferson Way. A huge thank you to PTO for organizing, to our parent volunteers for helping with the project, and to Dr. DuCharm for all of her planning! We will be sure to provide updated pictures once the project is complete!

This week’s first snow is a great reminder to make sure the contact information you’ve provided the District is up-to-date. We want to ensure you’re getting timely alerts on inclement weather operations and other important notifications. Please take a moment to do the following:

View Notification Preferences/Enable Text Messages
District 303 will send notifications to families through the ParentLink system by text message, phone call and email based on your settings. Parents/guardians can view and edit their contact settings through the Home Access Center.
To receive timely emergency communications, we strongly encourage families to enable text notifications. For most people, this is the fastest way to receive and view important messages. Here’s how:

  • From the HAC main menu, select the “registration” tab to view your contact settings
  • Select the “edit” button to change your contact settings
  • To enable text message notifications, enter your cell phone number in the SMS/text message field
  • Select the “save” button
Users can only update their child(ren) and personal contact information. You will not be able to make changes to another parent/guardian's contact information. For updates to emergency contact people, please reach out to the school directly.
