Google Apps

Using your LISD Google apps Account

What are Google Apps?

Google Apps is a suite of Google applications that brings together essential services to help your business. This is a hosted service that lets businesses, schools, and institutions use a variety of Google products -- including Email, Google Docs, Google Calendar, and Google Talk

Do I have an account already?

Yes! LISD has already created an account for every educator and student within LISD. It's simple to login with very little set-up needed.

How do I log-in?

What is this Google Drive?

Google Drive lets you store and access your files anywhere -- on the web, on your hard drive, or on the go. Now your files go everywhere you do. Change a file on the web, on your computer, or on your mobile device and it updates on every device where you’ve installed Google Drive. Share, collaborate, or work alone: your files, your choice.

Great...Now Tell me How!

First, Convert!

Your first step will be to turn your upload conversion on. This will only have to be done once, but will make adding documents to your Google Drive MUCH easier and will allow you to edit them.

  1. Click on the wheel in the top right of your screen while in "My Drive"
  2. Down to "Upload Settings"
  3. Over to "Convert uploaded files to Googles Docs format"
  4. Click to select

I wish I knew how to... just ask!
