Join us for a morning of outdoor fun! We will have open games AND competitive science related events. You choose how you want to participate.

How can you help?
- Sign up to volunteer at one of the booths (optional)
- Sign up to bring a water station (ice chest and water bottles)
- Sign up to donate supplies for the event. See front desk for details.
Competitions
All projects should be created/developed/constructed at home and brought to school on Monday, June 1st.
Participation is optional however, we encourage you to choose at least one. The event has been created for fun competition with peers. Awards will be given for top winners in each grade level category.
Use your imagination and have fun. See the competitions below for specific guidelines, if any.

- All projects developed for competitions should be homemade.
- Register/Sign-Up at the front desk.
- There will be 6 heats for each event.
- Two heats grades K-2, Two heats 3-4th grades, and Two heats 5-8th grades.

Balloon Rocket Races
- How far will your balloon travel?
- Students are to bring their own materials for this event. Latex balloon, straw, and tape.
Catapult Competition
- Students will build, calibrate and fire their own free-standing (not handheld) trajectory device that must be capable of propelling a tennis ball at a target placed between 2 and 7 meters. Actual distance will be announced the day of the event.
- Students will bring their homemade catapult.
- The catapult will sit on the ground and be fired at the target, also at ground level.
- Homemade paper airplanes.
- Students will have 5 tries to fly their airplane.
- Farthest distance will be recorded for the competition.
Marshmallow Poppers Competition
- Each student will be given 20 mini marshmallows to project for farthest distance.
Egg Drop Competition
- Eggs will be dropped from between 5 and 7 feet.
Fun Games!!
We will have numerous non-competitive games to enjoy as well.
